Rhosyn Character Intros

Roinn-Uthar Celyn of House Beathnua: Celyn is very new to his duties, gaining manhood and kingship in a breath as he turned sixteen this year. He still looks the part of the storybook prince, however, slight and a little too handsome, with a ready smile and guileless blue eyes. Sweet and polite for a while, that swiftly disintegrates under the sheer force of his enthusiasm and cheery certainty that every man is his best friend and every woman his favored Lady. He doesn't say much of any substance, but the vast warbling of well-intentioned nothing he does say is met with the crowd's roar and the clink of glasses.


First Raven Cystenian of House Beathnua: Cystenian is the current King's uncle, and a stern man, tall, broad-shouldered, and ever frowning. He's very formal, and nothing is good enough. A thesaurus and a thick skin would be prudent to possess ere attempting to speak with him. He has been ruling the country for the past twelve years, in the interregnum.


Second Raven Gwydion of House Troman: Gwydion is a quiet man, with the curious nickname of Wizard, despite his rather mundane nature. Respectful and almost demure, this advisor to the crown has been one for a very long time, not just this brief reign.


Third Raven Petyr of House Sabhaircin: Petyr is the youngest of Ravens, only 28. He can still be found in the lists, as much as the council chambers, but is mostly likely to be found at the side of the King. With a sharp tongue and indulgent smile, Petyr easily kept a place by the throne as boy became king, moving from tutor to advisor with barely a moment in between, or separated.


Aedain of House Athair, Knight of the Roses: Aedain is everything his countrymen aspire to be: kind; chivalrous; good sword arm and good looking; as skilled in dance as he is with lance; and as versed in poetry as tactics.


Mica of House Leathin, The White Knight: Mica is praised in equal measure for his skill with bow and ballad. Soft-spoken and ever so gentle, it's a bit of a wonder that this white-haired wisp of a young man is a knight at all.


Gildas of House Neantog, Captain of the Knights of the Field: Gildas is at the head of a new order of knights that he's very proud to say allow all men of noble character, regardless of whether their birth shares that adjective. Young, and keen to prove himself and his men, he's looking forward to a bit of friendly competition, with companions already known and new ones to be met.


Loren of House Meirin: One of the many young, foolish, and noble companions of the king, Loren generates merriment wherever he goes - with wine, a jest, a wink, and a wench. This heir to the House Meirin is more bard than knight, which suits he and the crown fine, as they share a toast and cheer on their friends in the lists. He's a sweet face and a sweet voice, but many a maid has found he doesn't necessarily have the heart to match.


Nia of House Meirin: Lady Nia is Loren's sister, and as beautiful as he is handsome. She is charming and comely, and well beloved by the people: generous and kind, and courteous as can be without ever being anything but warm and welcoming. With bright green eyes, milk-pale skin, and a veritable cascade of black curls, she is considered the rose of the court with good reason.


Third Hawk Cai of House Beathnua: Cai is the King's cousin, and only a little older than he. If the fire that claimed the late King Heledd had taken his son too, Cai would have been king in time, and where Celyn is fair and foolish, Cai is clever, with a ready wit and a ready hand. A good singer, and a good fighter, handsome and quiet -stately- Cai is perhaps not only everything Celyn is not, but a good number of the good things he is too.
